let's go exploring!

Mark the end of summer with a family hike. Visit a local metro park, or hiking trail and take the day and explore nature together. If you have little ones, add an extra element of fun to keep their attention. Encourage your kids to look for leaves or flower petals they can bring home and add to a keepsake frame. Add your findings along with a family selfie from your hike and map of the park to a stylish keepsake frame.

capture memories

If your holiday weekend plans include BBQs and fun outdoors with family, make sure you are ready to capture those final summer moments. Keep an instant film camera and a photo album handy. Snap candid photos and add them to your family album. When the weekend is through, you'll have fun looking through the memories made.

the dog days of summer

Get your pup in on the weekend fun. Throughout the summer I have been taking our dog, Tucker on long walks every Saturday morning. Our walks have turned into quality time where we can both get fresh air and enjoy the nice weather. I'm looking forward to an extra day this holiday weekend where we can hit the trail together. If you plan on walking your pup this weekend, be sure to take along our pet water bottle to keep them hydrated and consider other dog walking favorites.

mocktails alfresco

A refreshing drink on a patio is synonymous with summer. Mark the unofficial last weekend of summer with some easy make at home cocktails. The whole family can enjoy these mocktail recipes! Pour your refreshment into your favorite Pearhead glass, pair with some snacks, yard games, and family fun as you celebrate a summer well spent together and look forward to the fall season. A cocktail alfresco is calling my name. You know where to find me this weekend!

I hope you have been able to make the most out of this summer.
